I know all about various distortians of American History. It has nothing to do with liberalism. It has everything to do with historians wanting to glorify American History. But generally they don't lie about German History and if they do it's to make America look better. The fact is if this was a Nazi monument it would have been torn down like the others if not by allied forces then by Germans themselves who have officially disowned their pride in Nazi ideology.

Speer moved the Victory column to make it part of the "New Berlin", placing the victories of the Prussian wars as part of the National Socialist story. Kind of ironic that an African American would be giving speeches there, when the Nazis would have put him down. Alas, Barack sells the same old drivel, "turn your lives over to the state, and we will give meaning to you".
