I don't think that they are grasping for anything...lol, McCain himself is passing these straws out in two's to anyone and everyone. its becoming a pattern every time McCain opens his mouth he proves and clearly shows that he does not understand or know what he is talking about. And all his campaign keeps saying is he " Everybody Misspeaks"..But shouldn't their be some kind of a limit..McCain is asking for these attacks every time he neglects to do his homework on topics he claims to understand.

TFiA, You are being very generous with your assessment of the typical American voter's intelligence and awareness of the facts. They have proven over and over that they are not ready for self governing, and they consistently seek out the worst possible regime for their own self interests.Besides don't forget their voting machines are owned and controlled by a rabid right wing nut job who has no problems repeating what they did in 2004. To win, B.H.O. will have to be up by 20% or more.

I wondered how long it would take for someone to protect McCain on this. Congratulations you are the first idiot. Afghanistan IS the first conflict. The thousands of soldiers that have died there would tell you the same thing if they could. You really want to keep your position?

Ah...Afghanistan was an immediate result of 9-11. It is part of 9-11. Wake up and stop grabbing at straws.

there is no way mccain can win this election, he should just pack up and leave. mccain makes 20 blunders in two weeks, and obama has a rally with 200,000 people in berlin.who really knows what they are doing?
